About this objectA name tape sewn inside the cap reads "V. Drake" and this is likely to have been Victor James Drake, one of four brothers (Frank E. Drake, Reginald G. Drake and Walter A. Drake, who was also a member of the 1901 All Blacks) who represented Canterbury in the early 1900s.
Their names are given in the obituary of W. A. Drake - see Auckland Star, 1 February 1941, p. 3).
