About this objectThis is the original head of the "Larry the Lamb" costume created for the Canterbury Rugby Supporters' Club as the mascot for the Canterbury A Rugby team in the early 1970s. He also appeared at all Ranfurly Shield Parades and functions involving Canterbury Rugby. This head was used at all home and away games until the event of professional rugby when "Larry" stopped touring and was only seen at home games.
