Wales was the only team to beat the All Blacks in the previous tour in 1905 by the 'Originals' All Blacks. The 1924 match was the first time the All Blacks beat Wales. The match was played on the 29th of November 1924 at St Helens in front of a crowd of 50,000. The All Blacks won 19 - 0. This brown leather match ball is typical of the type used in that era.
