About this objectThis tactics board was custom made by HMS Fisgard Artificer Apprentices for the Lions’ Manager Surgeon-Captain Osborne, for use on the 1950 British Isles tour to New Zealand and Australia. The board was designed to help coach visually by using the model pitch and players for plays and strategies. This board was donated to the museum after the Lions came back from their tour of New Zealand and Australia in 1950.
