Name/TitleTrophy, Webb Ellis Rugby World Cup 2003 replica
About this objectThe Webb Ellis Cup is the most sought after trophy in the rugby world. Following England’s success in 2003 the original trophy was displayed in the museum. When it was returned in 2006 this replica was presented to the Rugby Football Union by the International Rugby Board. This example is slightly smaller than the real cup and the engravings only date up to 2003. There have been six world cup tournaments since 1987. So far the trophy has been won by New Zealand, Australia, South Africa and England.
